Black Friday is on November 27, 2026, and lots of runners wait for it before paying for apps. So, will Strava be on sale? Here is what we know as of November 7, 2026, what Strava really costs, and five legit ways to pay less, whether or not a deal shows up. We will update this page if Strava announces anything.
Has Strava ever had a Black Friday sale?
Not in a way we could confirm. A November 2025 guide on allthings.how found that Strava discounts usually come as time-limited codes or longer trials, not a site-wide sale. Some users remember an offer on the day; others only saw the normal 30-day trial. One Black Friday event on Strava was not a discount at all: the Rapha Black Friday Ride, a group challenge where the reward was a digital badge. And the5krunner’s Black Friday 2025 deals did not list a Strava offer.
So the honest answer is: maybe, but do not count on it. If you see an offer inside the Strava app around November 27, check the price on strava.com before you pay.
Strava prices right now (November 2026)
| Plan | Price per year | Per person | Saves vs individual | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Individual | $79.99 | $79.99 | $0.00 | 30-day free trial |
| Teacher, military or medical (25% off) | $59.99 | $59.99 | $20.00 | Individual plan; cannot be combined with other offers |
| Student (50% off) | $39.99 | $39.99 | $40.00 | Verified students; 30-day free trial |
| Family (up to 4) | $139.99 | $35.00 | $44.99 | Per person if 4 people share |
| Strava + Runna bundle | $149.99 | $149.99 | $-70.00 | Annual only; adds Runna training plans |
From strava.com/subscribe, US dollars plus tax, opened November 7, 2026. Teacher, military and medical price calculated as 25% off the individual plan. Prices differ by country, so check the page in your own country.
The bundle costs more than the individual plan, but it adds Runna training plans. If you were going to pay for both anyway, it is the cheaper way to get them.

5 legit ways to pay less for Strava
- Student plan: $39.99 a year for verified students, half the individual price, with a 30-day trial.
- Family plan: $139.99 a year for up to 4 people. Split four ways that is $35.00 each.
- Teacher, military or medical: 25% off the individual plan ($59.99). It cannot be combined with other offers.
- Use the 30-day free trial at the right time: start it when you actually need routes or training stats, for example at the start of a marathon build.
- Do not pay at all: the free account still records your runs and keeps your feed, kudos and clubs. See what you get on Strava for free.
Watch out for coupon sites. allthings.how points out that headlines like “up to 60% off” are aggregator marketing, and 60% matches the Strava + Runna bundle saving, not a Strava sale.
Is a Strava subscription worth it?
For runners training for a race, the paid features (routes, full leaderboards, training stats) can be worth $79.99 a year. If you mostly post runs and give kudos, the free plan already does that. We go deeper in is Strava premium worth it, and if you are thinking of leaving, see Strava alternatives. Strava’s yearly recap is a separate thing; see Strava Year in Sport.

Notes for the UK and Australia
Black Friday falls on the same day in the UK and Australia, and Strava prices are set per country, so the US numbers above will not match your local price exactly. As of October 2026 the individual plan was £54.99 a year in the UK and A$99.99 in Australia (see is Strava free). Open strava.com/subscribe while signed in to see your own price before you decide. In the UK and Australia, parkrun is a free way to race every week whatever app you use.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does Strava have a Black Friday sale in 2026?
- As of November 7, 2026 Strava has not announced one. In our checks we could not find a confirmed public Strava Black Friday discount in recent years either: a November 2025 guide on allthings.how found only time-limited codes and trials, and the5krunner’s Black Friday 2025 deals list did not include Strava. We will update this page if Strava announces a deal.
- How much is Strava a year?
- As of November 2026 Strava’s own subscribe page lists the individual plan at $79.99 a year in the US (about $6.67 a month), plus tax, with a 30-day free trial. Family is $139.99 a year for up to 4 people and the student plan is $39.99.
- What is the cheapest way to get Strava?
- If you are a verified student, the student plan at $39.99 a year is cheapest. If you can share with 4 people, the family plan works out at $35.00 each. Teachers, military and medical workers get 25% off the individual plan ($59.99). Otherwise, the 30-day free trial lets you try it before paying.
- Are Strava coupon codes for Black Friday real?
- Be careful. Coupon sites often show headlines like “up to 60% off”, but allthings.how notes these are aggregator marketing, and the 60% figure matches the Strava + Runna bundle saving rather than a Strava sale. Only trust a price you see on strava.com or inside the Strava app.
- Is Strava worth paying for?
- It depends on what you use. If you want routes, full segment leaderboards and training stats, many runners find it worth it. If you mostly use the feed and kudos, the free account already covers that. See our page on whether Strava subscription is worth it for the details.
